Zoran Tiganj received his Ph.D. in computer science from INRIA in 2011 and his M.S. degree in electrical engineering from University of Zagreb in 2008. He worked as a postdoctoral associate at University of Versailles 2011-2012, and as a postdoctoral associate and research scientist at Boston University 2013-2019. Dr. Tiganj's research interests combine artificial intelligence, cognitive science and computational neuroscience with the objective of building artificial agents that can learn in an unsupervised manner from temporal and spatial regularities in the real world. Domains of application include reinforcement learning, spatial navigation, natural language processing and computer vision.
