Weihua Zhou is an Associate Professor in the Department of Applied Computing at Michigan Technological University. He holds a Ph.D. from Southern Illinois University Carbondale and also earned his earlier degrees at Wuhan University. Zhou’s research focuses on medical imaging and informatics, especially on machine learning‑based methods for cardiovascular diagnostics, early disease detection, and multimodal clinical data integration. His expertise spans image processing, computer vision, machine learning, medical image analysis, health informatics, and text mining, and he teaches related courses in applied computing and health informatics
