Wei Jin is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering in the College of Engineering at the University of North Texas. He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from the University at Buffalo, State University of New York in 2008, with a specialization in Information Retrieval; Text and Web Mining; his dissertation was titled Mining Hidden Associations in Text Corpora through Concept Chain and Graph Queries. He also holds an M.S. in Computer Science and Engineering from the University at Buffalo (2007), specializing in Information Retrieval and Text Mining, and an M.S. in Computer Science from the Institute of Computing Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (2002), specializing in Multilingual Information Processing.
