About

I am an Associate Professor in Cyber Security in the Department of Computer Science at the University of York and a member of the York Interdisciplinary Centre for Cyber Security. I received my Ph.D. degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering from the University of Patras, Greece, in 2011. From 2011 to 2013, I was with the Network Convergence Laboratory, University of Essex, where I conducted research on information-centric networking and network security, and contributed to the EC FP7 PURSUIT project. In 2013, I joined the Institute for Communication Systems, University of Surrey, and conducted research on 5G wireless networks. After that, I was with the Computer Laboratory, University of Cambridge, where I conducted research on future Internet technologies and contributed to the EC H2020 RIFE project. In 2015, I joined the Secure and Dependable Software Systems Research Cluster at the University of Brighton, where I conducted research on 5G network security and contributed to the EC H2020 SESAME project. My main research interests are in the areas of network security, 5G wireless and mobile networks, future Internet technologies, software-defined networks, and Internet of things (IoT). I have served as a Guest Editor in IEICE Transactions on Communications, Elsevier Optical Switching & Networking, and IET Networks, and for the TPC of IEEE ICC and IEEE GLOBECOM.
