Suyash Gupta
About
Dr. Suyash Gupta is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Oregon School of Computer and Data Sciences. His research focuses on distributed systems, decentralized and fault-tolerant computing, databases, security, and blockchain technologies. At UO, he leads the Distopia Laboratory and co-leads the Oregon Networking Research Group, where he works on designing efficient distributed and decentralized systems that can scale and handle failures across wide-area networks. Prior to joining UO’s faculty, Dr. Gupta completed postdoctoral research at the University of California, Berkeley’s SkyLab and earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of California, Davis. His work has included developing resilient database architectures and blockchain systems, and he has a strong record of scholarly activity in systems research.
