Rose Qingyang Hu
About
Dr. Rose Qingyang Hu is a Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering in the Bradley Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Virginia Tech, and she has been appointed as the incoming Department Head starting January 1, 2025. She received her Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Kansas, an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from New York University, and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Science and Technology of China. Dr. Hu is internationally recognized for her research in wireless communications and networking, including the Internet of Things (IoT), mobile edge computing, cyber-physical systems, V2X, and artificial intelligence and machine learning in wireless networks. She has an extensive professional record including service as Editor-in-Chief of IEEE Communications Magazine, election as a Fellow of the IEEE and Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), and numerous awards for research excellence throughout her career
