Ricardo Gutierrez-Osuna, Ph.D. is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at Texas A&M University. He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from North Carolina State University in 1998, after completing an M.S. in Computer Engineering (1995) and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (Spain) (1992). His research interests include speech processing, machine learning, digital health, and wearable sensors, with work on intelligent sensing and pattern recognition. Gutierrez-Osuna has received honors including the NSF CAREER Award, the Ramón y Cajal Award from Spain’s Ministry of Education and Science, and multiple faculty fellow awards from Texas A&M’s College of Engineering.
