Puya Ghazizadeh
About
Puya Ghazizadeh is an Associate Professor of Computer Science and the IT Program Director in the Division of Computer Science, Mathematics, and Science at St. John’s University in Queens, New York. Ghazizadeh earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia, in 2014. Presently Ghazizadeh serves as Co-Chair for the Fourth International Workshop on Mobile and Pervasive Internet of Things (PerIoT 2020) (co-located with IEEE PerCom 2020). He is acting as Co-Chair for the IEEE ITS Society Technical Committee: Intelligence and Security Information for Transportation Systems. Ghazizadeh served as Associate Editor for The 23rd IEEE International Conference on Intelligent Transportation Systems 2020 (ITSC 2020). He is being a regular reviewer for several international journals and international conferences in the field of Mobile Computing, Intelligent Transportation Systems, and the Internet of Things (IoT). Ghazizadeh conducts research on Mobile Computing and Intelligent Transportation Systems focusing on Vehicular Clouds. Applications of vehicular cloud include content delivery network (CDN), traffic control, and natural disaster management. His research interest also includes Database Security and Algorithm Optimization. He has widely published his research with more than 20 international conferences and journal articles.
