Preetam Ghosh
About
Dr. Ghosh is a Professor at the Department of Computer Science, Virginia Commonwealth University. He is also an Affiliate Professor at the Virginia Institute for Psychiatric and Behavioral Genetics (VIPBG). Previously he served as the Secretary/Treasurer of ACM Special Interest Group on Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, and Biomedical Informatics (SIGBio) (2015-21), chaired and organized several international conferences such as ACM BCB and serves on the Editorial Board of journals like Scientific Reports. He obtained his PhD in Computer Science from UT-Arlington, completed postdoctoral training in Biomedical Informatics at UT-Southwestern Medical Center and has previously worked with Nokia Research, Nortel Research, and Pfizer Global Research.
