About
Dr. Yanik received the B.S.E.E. degree and the M.S. degree in computer engineering from North Carolina State University, Raleigh, NC, in 1989 and 1995 respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in computer engineering from Clemson University, Clemson, SC in 2013. Prior to his appointment at WCU, he practiced in industry as an electrical engineer in the design of microprocessing, telecommunications, and avionics hardware. His research interests include robotics, machine learning, and pattern recognition. He is a Senior Member of IEEE.
