About
Omar Darwish is an Assistant Professor in the Information Security and Applied Computing Department at Eastern Michigan University’s GameAbove College of Engineering & Technology. He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Western Michigan University (USA) and his M.S. from Jordan University of Science and Technology. Before joining EMU, he served as Assistant Professor, Program Coordinator of Computer Information Systems, and Director of the IoT and Cybersecurity Lab at Ferrum College, and was a Visiting Assistant Professor at West Virginia University Institute of Technology. Darwish’s research interests include cybersecurity, Internet of Things (IoT), machine learning, networks, big data analysis, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, data mining, and information retrieval
