Nima Karimian is an assistant professor in the USF Bellini College of Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity and Computing. He joined the college in 2025 and brings to the role a strong background in embedded systems, hardware security, and machine learning. Prior to USF, he served as an assistant professor at West Virginia University in the Lane Computer Science and Electrical Engineering Department, and San Jose State University in the Computer Engineering Department. He led research labs at both institutions. Before that, he was a faculty consultant at the University of Florida and held research assistant roles at the University of Connecticut and Amirkabir University of Technology.
