About
Dr. Abdullah Khan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Kennesaw State University (KSU), where he directs the Cooperative Human-AI Teaming (CHAT) Lab. His research centers on human–AI teaming, with the goal of developing next-generation AI algorithms that integrate natural language processing, large language models, knowledge representation, and AI-guided learning. His work places particular emphasis on text mining, embedded systems, healthcare, and other safety-critical domains, where trust, transparency, privacy, and security are essential for real-world deployment. Prior to joining Kennesaw State University, he was a scientist at the Artificial Intelligence Lab at Philips Research North America in Cambridge, Massachusetts, working on applied AI solutions for healthcare technologies. He received his Ph.D. in Information Systems from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and his B.Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET). Before pursuing doctoral studies, he worked as a software engineer in several technology companies in Bangladesh.
