Lei Zhang
About
Lei Zhang is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer and Information Sciences at Towson University. He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Applied Technology from the Harbin Institute of Technology in 2013, after completing his M.E. in Software Engineering there in 2008 and his B.E. in Computer Science and Technology from Harbin University of Commerce in 2003. His research expertise lies in medical image analysis, machine learning, and computer vision, and he has contributed to numerous peer-reviewed journal and conference publications focused on deep learning methods for biomedical imaging, vision transformer models, and related topics. Zhang’s work applies advanced computational techniques to analyze complex visual and medical data, bridging foundational machine learning methods with applications in health imaging and pattern recognition.
