Jay Becker is an Assistant Professor of Information Technology in the School of Information Security and Applied Computing at Eastern Michigan University’s College of Engineering & Technology. He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Michigan. Becker’s research focuses on computer security, digital forensics, and privacy, with interests in understanding cybercrime, securing digital evidence, and improving defenses against malicious attacks. He teaches courses in cybersecurity, forensics, and related IT topics, and is involved in community outreach initiatives to promote cybersecurity awareness and education.
