Jiang Yu Zheng
About
Jiang-Yu Zheng received the B.S. degree in Computer Science from Fudan University, China, in 1983, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Control Engineering from Osaka University, Japan in 1987 and 1990, respectively. From 1990, he was with ATR Communication Systems Research Laboratory as research associate. He has worked at Faculty of Information Science and System Engineering, Kyushu Institute of Technology, Japan from 1993 to 2001 as an associate professor. Since 2011, he is a full professor at the Dept. of Computer and Information Science, Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis, and now Purdue University in Indianapolis. He works in the areas of Computer Vision, Image and Video Recognition, AI, Intelligent Vehicle, Virtual Reality, Multimedia and Internet application. His current research interests include autonomous driving, deep learning, dynamic image processing, scene representation, 3D modeling, digital museum, and combining vision with graphics and human interface.
