About
Han-Wei Shen is a Full Professor at The Ohio State University. He Joined Ohio State in 1999, after spending three years at NASA Ames Research Center. He is currently the Editor in Chief of IEEE Transactions on Visualization and Computer Graphics. He is a member of IEEE Visualization Academy, and was the chair of the steering committee for IEEE SciVis conference. His primary research interests are data visualization, machine learning, high performance computing, and computer graphics. Professor Shen is a winner of National Science Foundation's CAREER award and US Department of Energy's Early Career Principal Investigator Award. He received his Ph.D. from University of Utah, a MS from Stony Brook University, and a BS from National Taiwan University. He was on the IEEE Visualization conference executive committee, and IEEE SciVis steering committee.
