Farnaz Jahanbakhsh is an Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Michigan. She completed her Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Stanford University’s Human-Centered AI Institute. Her research focuses on human-computer interaction, social computing, and AI systems that help people assess information credibility and navigate online spaces, combining large-scale data, design, and rigorous evaluation.
