Ehsan Adeli
About
Ehsan Adeli is an Assistant Professor (Research) at Stanford University, affiliated with the Department of Computer Science (by courtesy), Biomedical Data Science (by courtesy), and the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences. He is also Director of the Stanford Translational AI (STAI) Lab. Dr. Adeli holds a Ph.D. in artificial intelligence and computer vision and has postgraduate training in biomedical imaging and computational neuroscience. His research focuses on developing translational artificial intelligence and explainable machine learning algorithms for healthcare and neuroscience—especially methods that automatically analyze human activities, behaviors, and brain function using video, sensory data, and neuroimaging like MRI. His work aims to better understand neurodegenerative and neuropsychiatric conditions and their effects on everyday life by integrating computational models with clinical and cognitive data.
