Dilma Da Silva, Ph.D. is a Professor of Computer Science & Engineering at Texas A&M University, where she holds the Ford Motor Company Design Professorship II and has been recognized as a Regents Professor. She earned her Ph.D. in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology in 1997 after completing her B.S. and M.S. degrees at the University of São Paulo. Her research focuses on cloud computing, operating systems, distributed computing, and high-end computing. She has served in leadership roles including department head and as a division director for Computing and Communication Foundations at the National Science Foundation, and she is an ACM Distinguished Scientist with numerous awards for her technical contributions.
