About
Derek Anderson is the Naka Endowed Professor in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Missouri, he directs the Mizzou INformation and Data FUsion Laboratory (MINDFUL), is co-director of the Center for Geospatial Intelligence (CGI), and he is a core faculty member of the MU Institute for Data Science & Informatics. His focus is artificial intelligence and data/information fusion, with applications in computer vision, remote sensing, drones, and materials. Anderson has published more than 250 articles (book chapters, journals, and conference proceedings), and he has helped organize and run multiple domestic and international conferences, special sessions, workshops and tutorials. Anderson has received approximately $40 million to date in funding across 30 research projects.
