Bo Fang is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at The University of Texas at Arlington. He earned his Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of British Columbia. His research focuses on fault-tolerant systems, high-performance computing (HPC), GPUs, quantum noise characterization and mitigation, quantum circuit simulation, and quantum machine learning. Prior to joining UTA, he worked as a staff computer scientist in the HPC group at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. He has received awards including the William C. Carter Ph.D. Dissertation Award in Dependability.
