Biju Bajracharya
About
Dr. Biju Bajracharya is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computing at East Tennessee State University (ETSU), where he is a central figure in the university's cybersecurity and digital forensics initiatives. He earned his Ph.D. in Computational Science from the University of Southern Mississippi and previously held faculty positions at Ball State University and Lock Haven University. Dr. Bajracharya’s research is focused on the security of Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) and the Internet of Things (IoT), with a particular interest in developing lightweight blockchain solutions for vehicular ad-hoc networks (VANETs). As the founding faculty advisor for the CyberBucs, ETSU's nationally-ranked cybersecurity club, he has led students to top-tier placements in global competitions like the MITRE Embedded Capture the Flag (eCTF) and the National Cyber League. Holding numerous industry certifications from Cisco, Microsoft, and EC-Council, he bridges the gap between academic research and hands-on technical defense, preparing the next generation of professionals for the evolving threat landscape of modern networks.
