About

I am a professor in the School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering and a member of the Center for Complex Networks and Systems Research at Indiana University, Bloomington. My background is in Statistical Mechanics, and my research interests are in the area of complex networks and computational social science. Before joining IU, I held research positions in the Cavendish Lab. at the University of Cambridge, the Ralph Parson Lab. at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and the Center for Ultra-structural Analysis at University of Lausanne. I often (used to) visit the Institute for Scientific Interchange (Turin, IT) and at the Ecole Polytechnique de Lausanne (CH). On the service side, I served for several years as Director of the Undergraduate Program in Informatics and I am currently a member of the Scientific Leadership team of the Indiana University Network Center
