Aditya Grover is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at the UCLA Samueli School of Engineering where he leads the Machine Intelligence Group. His research focuses on probabilistic machine learning, deep generative models, representation learning, and sequential decision making, with applications in scientific discovery, sustainability, and reasoning with limited supervision. Since joining UCLA in 2021, Grover has received numerous honors including the National Science Foundation CAREER Award, the AI2050 Early Career Fellowship, and being named to Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list for science. He also co‑founded Inception, a company building next‑generation generative AI systems and works on sustainable computing initiatives like ML4Climate. Grover received his Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence from Stanford University and has been recognized for foundational contributions that unite generative models, reinforcement learning, and scientific reasoning.
